How To Use Orbi App For Enabling A Remote Access To Orbi Router Setup?

Netgear orbi routers, aside from offering compelling WiFi signal strength also allows its users to manage the most of their router settings remotely. This remote access is facilitated with the help of Obri application that can be easily downloaded at any of the adroid or apple operating system based devices.

Orbi application allows one to easily manage all the settings related to netgear Orbi setup. Few of such settings will include managing Orbi WiFi users, modifying network name and password, checking speed of the internet connection, etc. All these and many more settings like these can be easily accessed by from anywhere with the help of Orbi application. If you are also looking to avail this smart feature for accessing your Orbi router remotely, then go through the following steps:
  • Dowlload an Orbi app:
  • If you want to download the orbi app on an android device then you can avail it from google play store app available on your device. Simply search “Orbi app” and you will find an application for your android device. Locate the Orbi app for android and click on the option to download it.
  • If you want to download the orbi app on any of your iOS or apple devices then you can avail it from itunes app available on your device. Repeat the same procedure for downloading the app.
Once the Orbi application has been downloaded, kindly go through the following orbi support steps to grant the remote access for Orbi router.
  • Get the device on which the Orbi application has been installed. This device will now be used for remote access.
  • Connect the device with your available network of Orbi WiFi by selecting the network name and typing in the corresponding username and password.
  • Open the Orbi application and you will be automatically directed to its login page.
  • So sign in to Orbi application using your Netgear login ID and password. In case you don’t have an account then create at that very moment.
  • Type in the Orbi router’s admin passkey and then tap on the icon for login.
  • Go to the “Menu” icon available at the top right side of that application’s viewing screen.
  • There you will find an option for “Settings” so click on it to view the options under it.
  • Under Settings menu locate the option for “Remote Management.”Once you find it change the slider in front of it to “On” by moving or swapping it to the right side.
  • Once the slider in front of “Remote Management” is enabled, you will be allowed the access your Orbi router from anywhere you wish.
  • Now you will be able to remotely access your Orbi router by simply tapping on the option for “Connect with Remote Management.”
In case you are unable to login to your Orbi router because of incorrect password details then try to get your password reset through orbi tech support. If ever you are all new to your Orbi router and don’t know the password for your Orbi router, then remember that the admin username and password will be as “admin” and “password” respectively.
