How to do orbi setup with its satellite?

If ever you are trying to setup a new orbi router or are facing any issue while setup, then here we have a setup procedure for you. Following this procedure will enable users to themselves configure their orbi router and satellite. No technical assistance will be required if the procedure the procedure is followed correctly.
Following are the orbi support steps for configuring Orbi router and its satellite.
  • Get your modem disconnected from the power supply by plugging out its main power cord from a working power outlet.  Also remove or replace the batteries attached to your modem.
  • Wait for 10-20 minutes and then connect it back to any of the working power outlets.
  • Identify the Internet port available on your Orbi router. It might look like yellow in color. Once you find the internet port of your orbi connect it with your modem with the help of an Ethernet cable. Plug in one end of the Ethernet cable to the internet port of your router and another to the Ethernet port of your modem.
  • Connect the Orbi router with a working power outlet and turn ON the switch for it. Check whether the power LED light behind the Orbi router is glowing or not. In case the power LED light is not glowing then press down and release the On/Off button for power. 
  • Wait and watch till the orbi’s ring LED glows up and then starts blinking white in color.
  • Do orbi satellite setup by positioning your Orbi satellite anywhere in the center of your house in order to ensure a good WiFi signal coverage throughout the house.
  • Plug in the power cord of Orbi satellite to a working power outlet. Check if the power LED light behind Orbi satellite is not glowing or not. If not glowing, then hold down and release the On/Off the power button on it.
  • Observe the status of ring LED light of Orbi satellite till it glows up followed by blinking white light and then blinking magenta light after some time. Kindly remember that the LED blinks magenta for at least one minute when the satellite trying to sync with Orbi router.
  • After the LED light starts blinking magenta, any one of the following colors will be a part of that LED light for 10 seconds:
  • Steady blue: If the LED glows steady blue in color then it means the Orbi router and its satellite are in good connection with each other.
  • Steady magenta: If the LED light glows steady magenta in color then it means that your Orbi satellite is unable to connect with Orbi router. So in this case try to bring Orbi router and its satellite closer to each other. If the light continues to blink magenta even after bringing router and satellite closer, then press the sync button on router as well as satellite for re-syncing.
  • Steady amber: This color of LED light indicates that a fair connection has been established between Orbi router and its satellite. To make the connection better you should bring the Orbi router and its satellite closer.
  • If the Orbi satellite's ring LED light glows white followed by a steady blue light, then it means both the devices have synced successfully.
  • Now, try to establish connection with Orbi router or satellite through your computer or any other internet supporting device. You can find the network name & password from the label behind your router.
  • Once the connection is established, browse http://orbilogin.com from any of the web browsers and go through the steps provided by on-screen guide to complete the configuration of Orbi router and satellite.
